I can't think of a single reason to check email every minute. I receive several hundred emails per day and there's no way I could keep up if it were going off every minute. We run the analyzer and send out emails to customers all the time on this.

Write a log analyzer app and send them a message every time they check less than your required minimum :)

I don't know any E-mail clients that will check less than once a minute without manually initiating the check.  I believe that requiring automated checking to be 5 minutes or more is appropriate except where it is necessary to check more frequently due to the type of E-mail/user.  Some people do rely heavily on E-mail and it is inappropriate to ask them to only check infrequently.

Is there any way tp throttle so to speak how often a user check for email?
Some folks want to check every 10 seconds!  If I could somehow make it a 15 min it would be great but I do not see how with some sort of database involved somehow -

Thanks
