Yes. I agree, start with email, then when you can get on the phone. True, you’ll reach folks who know the basics but at least you’ll have someone on the phone and get a much faster response than with email alone. Just my opinion.

On the phone, I got a lot of nice well meaning people who knew the basics, but got in over their heads very quickly. It took me several tries before I got somebody who would buck the problem upstairs. Once that happened, it was a matter of a couple of hours until the problem was resolved. But the first thing everybody tells you is that you start with the email

Well, I found my problem. It’s a new host that’s missing a Reverse PTR record.

As for your problem, yes, it does work. I find however that making a phone call and speak with a real human does a better job timewise than working through the email process alone.

Yeah, I am finding out that I have to go through this process...

Quick question, I jump through hoops and then AOL.com removes me from the blocked list?

I'm not in the SORBS DB or any DB for that matter. It seems that current opt-in customers are now telling AOl.com that our emails are spam. What do I do???

Yes - they are using DNSBLs now.  The one in particular that go tme was SORBS.  Out Colo facility has a TTL of lower than 43200 on our PTRs.  This is unacceptable according to SORBS.  The Colo was very cool in getting the changes made, but turnaround time at SORBS is roughly 24-48 hours.

Yep, I just learned about it today from a client. I checked the returned
email header and didn't find much of an explanation.

Anyone having problems delivering mail to AOL.com?
Just wondering. If you are not, are there any good links to help me find out
why, suddenly I am out of luck?
