Unless this log file was tampered with by you, this means the sender was accepted by their server and what they are telling you is BS. Unfortunately I have seen before mail admins refuse to believe something was wrong on their end and there is nothing I could do about it except inform the client. You haven't said why mail must be relayed, but if I were you I'd find someone else to provide whatever services these guys are providing, whether it is ISP or virtual host or some other third thing...
