Hi, all-
I'm having a few problems with my new IMail 8.22 installation. Any pointers
from more experienced hands would be appreciated!
1) The patched SMTP DLL will not run. I check permissions and they are the
same as on the original, so permissions don't seem to be the problem. I had
to revert to the unpatched version that came with the download. And that was
the whole point for me!
2) I cannot install mail to fax 8.14 (the latest version I know of). Error
message says it can only install with IMail 3.00 or higher. 8.22 is higher,
all right, but I guess it's too high!
3) The default web interface requires users to log in to
http://mail.somedomain.com/iclient. So I set up two websites, with the
client directory on one and the admin directory on the other. The client
side seems fine, as does most of the admin side - but accessing service
management functions throws an access error. No obvious permissions issues,
since permission inheritance is used throughout.
4) There is an example of branding for the web interface, with some sample
graphics from Mars or somewhere, and a sample XML file. There is no
indication of where the XML file should go. A search for "branding" on the
kbase turned up nothing, of course.
