Even the IP address can be forged.
But assuming it isn't, what's wrong with checking SPF records? If the from
domain has an SPF record that matches the IP, let it through. That's a
helluva lot more efficient than demanding an individual IP for each domain.

It's easier for them to just block the IP and not look at the domain.
