Hi Ted,

I thought this was solved in 2006.21 RC1 as I have not seen this error anymore
after I applied 2006.21 RC1 and stopped my "three times a day restart" of the
w3svc service.
It's been running rather stable these past few weeks.

This is an issue we are working on. Thus far there is no workaround we are
aware of. If anyone is able to get a memory dump of this event, it would be
  a big help.

Subject: [IMail Forum] web messaging: Attempted to read or write protected
  memory.

Once a week I users are unable to use web messaging and get the
  following error on screen:

Unable to log into the system.
Reason: Attempted to read or write protected memory.
This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

Is there a diagnosis for this error or a workaround? I'd appreciate any
help. I am running 2006.2 on win2003. I have .net2.0 installed and IIS
is configured to use it. I must restart IIS to fix the error
temporarily and have been unable to find a way to detect this error
  through scripting.

  Will
