It's up to you.  Rod's certainly correct in that the lookup is unnecessary. 
Personally, I prefer the explicit MX designation, as it is often the primary 
sender.  It also gives you the flexibility to change IPs without changing 
the SPF record, though if you cover your entire address space in the SPF 
record, and update it when changes to your available address space occur, it 
is unnecessary.

If  that  address  range covers all the IP addresses that all of your MX
records resolve to then its redundant.

Also, if they build the list of valid IP's instead of first checking any
explicit  ones you'll be making them lookup and resolve the MX record(s)
unnecessarily.
