Scot,
We've seen a number of problems with the new Dells... laptops and desktops
alike. They're great PCs, but their customized version of IE is buggy.
>From what I've seen in the Dell support site, there are many problems with
their preloaded version of IE, and no clear-cut solutions.
Here's what we found so far:
* Disabling the "Forms AutoComplete" function in IE's preferences will
sometimes fix the issue.
* Downloading a fresh, updated, *uncustomized* copy of IE (5.01) will
usually fix the issue.
* Downloading a copy of Netscape will almost always fix the issue... though
you take the chance of introducing new, Netscape-specific bugs.
At least, that's our experience... hope it helps.
