Ron,

Is there anything special needed to run the spell checker? I'm using IE 5
128-bit and it told me I neeeded IE 4+ to run it ;-)

Subject: [IMail Forum] HKSI Web Templates are almost done, spell is
unbroken...

Okay, everyone, if you've got a minute take one last quick look at the
v6 web templates at http://mail.hksi.net before I make them available.
The username is "demo", the password is "blue". Hard to believe I've
been at this for over 10 days now... sorry for the wait, but I hope it
will be worth it to you.

Additional features since last review:

 - SPELL CHECKER THAT WORKS! (And doesn't break Netscape or Macs.)
It's an ActiveX component, so only MSIE4+/PC users will see
the link underneath the compose message text area. Working on
detection of browsers with Netscape ActiveX plug-in. Oh, and you
have to have MSWord installed, since that's the engine it uses.

 - All user options are in one nice little pop-down in upper right
corner
OF EACH SCREEN! (Admin options will be in the same pop-down for
   users with admin privileges.)

 - Read mail screen now displays message in a nice monospaced-font
   on both PCs and Macs

 - Neater address book at top of compose screens, with link
   directly to address book

 - Neater attachments input form at bottom of compose screens.

 - Neater search input form

 - Mucho more code cleaning and streamlining and consolidating. The
zipped version of everything is down from 900kb to 270kb or so.
Trashed about 50 unused GIFs. A cleansing experience.

 - Universal color scheme is changeable by modifying just one file.

 - Fixed the bug where two Help windows would open when Help clicked.

Remaining issues (HEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPP!):

 - IE on Macintosh users cannot reply to/fwd/delete their messages.
That's bad. For now, we're telling 'em to use Netscape if they
don't already. Waiting on a fix from Ipswitch, but not apneic
about it. Problem is a Javascript reserved word conflict with the
   CGI.

 - Admin setting of News option results in a broken link, and no news
gets set. Can't even make this one work from the IMail Admin on
the server, so maybe something is broken in v6? I'm not a good
person to ask on this, because I've never used the News feature.

 - I'd like to have an option to mark a message back to "Un-Read"
status, but looking through the code docs hasn't helped. If
you're listening, Ipswitch, do we have access to change the
   message status back to unread?

Well, that's about all I can think of right now. Thanks again for all
your help and comments on this project... I'm looking forward to
wrapping it up.
