We are having a terrible time here of emails particularly ones with
attachments
just disappearing. We have tested it sending the mail to ourselves and it
never
arrives. I suspect it is our rules.ima or kill.lst which when I move out of
the
\imail directory the problem disappears. However, the mystery to me is that
our rules.ima and kill.lst are very small and simple and I see nothing in
them
that would delete so many messages. I am attaching the two files to this
message so you all can see them and possibly identify what we are doing
wrong. A sample of the log appears below where we see the NUL word
in the mail log. We only use the NUL in rules in the rules.ima so that is
why I assume the rules.ima is the culprit. I have logged on to webmail and
checked the users settings and there are no individual rules setup. I also
looked in the users folder under \imail\users and there is no NUL file there
either.
Here is a log snippet:
03:27 12:25 SMTP-(00000066) processing C:\IMAIL\spool\Qa7852b4.SMD
03:27 12:25 SMTP-(00000066) ldeliver mail.cowtown.net jim-NUL (1)
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 0
03:27 12:25 SMTP-(00000066) finished C:\IMAIL\spool\Qa7852b4.SMD status=1

Someone please help. Because of eliminating our rules and kill files
temporarily
we are getting really slammed with spam.
