In Outlook 2000, if the account is setup as IMAP, the options "Leave copy of
message on server" is NOT present. That option is only present if the
account was setup as "POP3" in Outlook 2000.
I am running outlook 2000, and it does not appear to have the "auto-purge"
feature for IMAP folders. Outlook Express 5 does have it. Outlook 2000 has
an option buried in the options menus that says "Empty the deleted items
folder when exiting", but I do not believe that effects IMAP folders. But to
be safe, leave it unchecked.
