Thanks for the tip...I'll check it out to better understand how this all
works. My confusion is with the way messages are stored on my IMail server
and how can users retrieve it if they deleted it by mistake. I know the
difference between POP3 & IMAP, but I wanted a clear understanding on IMAP
being used with IMail.

Angel,
Easy way to check. From Outlook, select 'Accounts' from the 'Tools' menu.
Click on the 'Mail' tab, select the profile, then click the 'Properties'
button. In the property sheet, click on 'Servers' tab. The first line in
there will tell you what type of account you have configured.
I've been following this thread, but I honestly can't understand the source
of your confusion. The distinction between POP3 and IMAP is very simple.
You'll find a wealth of information located at http://www.imap.org/toc.html.
Pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about Mail (and then some).
