Ron here just said MS delivers crippled IE for Mac's so Mac's can't 
do SMTP AUTH. Maybe NS/Mac has the similar pb.

But note that NS has also had pb's with SMTP AUTH on Win32 into Imail.

What failure do you see in the Imail logs?
