Thanks for your response Len - I appreciate it! I don't, unfortunately,
have access to the IMail servers. They're being maintained by my web
hosting provider.
I don't think it's a client software problem, as we're just talking
about basic user authentication, and this works fine with other mail
servers (For example, Worldmail and SLMail) with Mac e-mail clients
(Eudora, OE, Communicator). This trouble is specific to IMail.
So all the information I have is this: when I configure the client to
use the IMail server for SMTP, and put in the username just as I would
in Windows, it returns a relay error ("not a gateway", etc.). Does this
indicate anything?
