Where else is it going to be? all mail in/out passes through
\imail\spool directory in the queueing system. It gets picked up by
SMTP client processes for delivery.

If the msg has been delivered by the SMTPD server into the mail queue
for delivery, you should see an SMTP process pick the file and try to
connect to the MX ip for the @recipient domain for remote delivery or
"local deliver".
Have you, in the imail control panel applet, tried "send one" or
"send all" to see what happens in the logs?
