What version of Arcserve are you using. I have had a problem in the past where the pre backup scan crashed while reading an unprintable characture ' � ' . The problem was that after the Scan crashed the backup then kicked and only backed up every thing up to the crash. as the backup was successful only a detailed look at the Logs reveiled any thing was amis.   This bug was fixed in 5.01j and later.   I have backup directories with 1000's of subdirectories with later version with out any problems.     Was there any thing strange in the logs to indicate a problem?     Les.     ----- Original Message ----- From: Yuri Levenfeld To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, February 24, 2001 10:29 PM Subject: [IMail Forum] ArcserveIT Ran into very strange problem with my Ipswitch backup.
