David,

Not sure about a modified odbcuser.dll and what it might be able to do (not
a programmer), but it could be in the realm of possibilities. V6 does have
an modified and improved (you may not thinks so at this time, but it has all
of Mike Nice's fixes and more!) dll, but I don't think it has the capability
of reporting the number of users in a db and showing that in IMail Admin.
Someone more knowledgeable about this would have provide a better answer.

As for log files, no, I (and the forum members!) have no desire to see a
days worth, don't have the time nor the motivation to hunt random things
down. A few minutes, or several portions showing specific message
transactions, sure, glad to advise. Keep the logs to a few k and nobody on
the list will complain.

A new user account might be needed and a good way to let someone gain some
access your system to see IMail related configuration data. However more
access might be needed to see everything that should be checked.

Not being able to change a password, usually means you are not accessing the
right domain, account or have some other information incorrect. Figure out
what and then one will have a 'better' idea of the source of the problem. It
is possible to have distinct group of users for domains, so it might look
like you are user1 in domain1, but you could be user1 (same name!) in
domain2, instead and using the wrong password. The most common reason I have
found for this symptom and maybe your delivery problems could be the
configuration of the computer, TCPIP, IP addresses and hostnames (including
those in IMail and HOSTS file) and maybe even DNS.

If you ever had the symptom of losing all the users in the 'primary' domain
after you created a new domain, this is another symptom of a messed up
configuration. This is fixable! Either you have to provide complete and
confirmed data (and maybe even copies of files and Registry data) about the
system, or you need someone who knows, to get full access to the system to
observe and make the changes. Probably best if this could all be collected
in one session and then observe and make changes.

If you are using some other templates, you would not normally have access to
the defaults, unless you had not made the change to include the Primary
domain. This is possible, but it might also be some manifestation of having
a configuration problem. Maybe the KVM templates allow some capabilities I'm
not aware of, too.

It might be to your advantage to contact Ipswitch Support and get this all
checked out. Of course, you will need a Service Agreement to spend more than
a little time with the Techs there.
