In that case, IMail is working properly (you *should* see the "maildrop locked and 
ready" message).  If Outlook can't send mail either, it definitely is not a POP3 
issue.  Since SMTP security and POP3 security are usually very different, it might be 
a routing problem of some sort.

Do you have IMail (or a router) set up to reject certain IPs (check the SMTP Security 
tab of the IMail Administrator)?  Have you tried telneting to the server from the 
server itself ("telnet localhost 25"), to see if it works from there (if it does, you 
are dealing with a routing problem)?

Since you can connect to the POP3 port and get it to respond, but can't connect to the 
SMTP port, it sounds like an issue with SMTP.  Are you using a dialup account with an 
ISP that blocks port 25?

My guess is either port 25 is blocked at the ISP level, or you have IMail set up to 
refuse that IP address (or address range).
