They are AOL - if the "To:" address doesn't end in
aol.com
netscape.net
gateway.net
cs.com
compuserve.com
- or whateverelsetheyownnow.com
 - they DO know it's not one of theirs.

I just checked the headers for your message from the IMail mailing list, and
it included "To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]".  I can see AOL possibly
rejecting E-mail with no "To:" (which is legal, but not logical).  But, they
aren't going to reject based on the above header.  They have no way of
knowing if that E-mail address is a mail list address, or a standard
address.
