i have 12 email
accounts. i'm not your average dialup user. i'm an admin, as such i know
that if i can't unsubscribe, even before i get the bounce msg, i know that i
tried to unsub from the wrong account. most dialups are relative
newbies with less than 10 years experience. in fact, what i see is
that most ADMINS are relative newbies with less than 10 years experience,
but that's not the point. people don't look at headers. that's what keeps
the newbie spammer in business. don't worry about all the experienced
spammers, worry that someone is busy creating an army of throwaway zombie
spammers who firstly, don't even know what spam is, and secondly are rooked
into it by the promise of easy cash. those are impossible to deal with,
because you're TOSsing your new business: if you're a SERVICE billing is
your lifeblood, attrition is your dread disease. an ISP's middle name is
SERVICE.
the customer is not
always right.
the customer needs my
expertise, but doesn't act needy
the customer is
usually clueless
the customer expects
me to do their work for them
whether or not i'm
contractually liable for this or that particular deliverable. i have to
refuse in a way that keeps them coming back for what i DO
provide.
the customer must
ALWAYS be satisfied,
hangon... here's a
brain fart in brooklynese:
waddamy sayin ova
heah? da clyinte iz my brednbutta. i neva won a fight wit da clyint,
see? dey got all da aces.

The last thing I want to say/ask about this is when you
have a large mailing list are some people so stupid as to not know how to
type unsubscribe. I have halted all mailings from my list until such
point i can remove these people manually. I am trying but getting
frustrated. I have heard of some list administrators just keep
sending the list mail to people until they get it right. Am I the
only one who feels "Hey you're the idiot who signed up get yourself off if
you like!"
