Hi,
I am running IMAIL V6.06 with all the patches and POP setup.
I am too experiencing disappering message problem. My situation is that I
have an account set up for testing pourpose and I have a sole control of
this account as well as this mail server. I also do not use any pop mailer
for this account and I always use web interface to access this account.
Occasionally, I send few test messages to this test account from outside and
check if mail server is working OK. I do not delete any received messages
at all and I do not have any pop mailer accessing this account. Few days
later, I again send test messages to the account from outside. Whan I
access the test account using web interface to see if the mail is in, new
mail is there but old messages are gone.
I checked a log and there is no trace of pop access on the test account.
All web access is mine and I definitely did not delete any messages in the
mail box. There is only one mail box which is mail.mbx and no other mbx
files in user's directory.
I've noticed this before applying patches but neglected since no user have
complained. Well, I see few of us experiencing the same problem and I
would like to know if anyone has solution to this.
