Okay, so you have OL set to "Always send receipts." In any case, we're now
closer to where the real problem is. That 550 error will happen if your
FROM: address is @ a host that isn't recognized by Imail as local, and
you're using the "Relay for local hosts" option (you said you were
earlier). You can play around with Imail's accept.txt to solve this, or go
the easier and safer route: use SMTP AUTH (check "My server requires
authentication" in your Internet E-Mail service), which always allows you
to relay. Remember what I said before about multiple personalities? This
sounds like that problem in a nutshell, if you are receiving mail from a
POP3 server @marlinfirearms.com but sending SMTP through the same server as
if you are @carbyxxx.com.
Experts on this list will tell you not to use "Relay for local hosts"
anyway, as it only requires a lie in someone's Outlook setup to fool it.
