Spammer list are just like old postal mailing list, they get resold and
reused ad infinitum. I still get Mail addressed to the lady I bought my
house from back in '78, my wife and kids who left in 84, my nieces and room
mates that have been gone over 8 years etc. Spammers are just doing the
same thing, did anyone think they actually checked to make sure all of those
addresses were good before they sold the original list? Dictionary attacks
account for a lot of the new spammer list being generated. A "nobody"
address is a good way to defeat these efforts.

It's like I've always said, "You can get
more with a kind word and a two by four,
than you can get with just a kind word."
