Matthew,
Got a point there. I too found that a database is a lot more efficient. And,
as you wrote, it may well be that Ipswitch's ISP may share a part of the
"blame". I just find it strange that the slowdown happened when Ipswitch
moved their list server to IMail 7, but I may be wrong. There are other
factors as were mentioned before (e.g. Code Red).
I guess I can live with delays; it's just the dropped postings that worry
me. And I am also somewhat annoyed with losing the chronology of messages
that do get through. Kind of hard to follow a thread when answers/comments
arrive before questions. Oh well, it's an imperfect world and I should learn
to deal with this :)
Guy
P.S. Coffee makers are notorious for clogging T3's; just ask your ISP ;)

of in a database. A database would probably be much more efficient in
sending out the emails. I notice that my email list that are in a database
respond faster than the IMAil list server. What I would really like to see
is the IMail logs and see when the message is recieved and when it tries to
send back out. Maybe Ipswitch has a shitty ISP. If they have the same ISP
as my employer god help them. They might be thinking they do a wonderful
job. My employer's ISP will blame your coffee maker before they say hey
there is a network slowdown.
