I tried using the CDONTS thing, but I could never get it to work.  It's
probably just MS Propaganda, but I thought all of the Microsoft
documentation states that you need an Exchange server to use the "Remote
Gateway" option.  But, again, I could never get it to work.  That's why we
choose the ASPEmail.

In the settings for the SMTP service of IIS you can specify that all mail
goes through a remote gateway.  I do this and make it my IMail server
