Well I throw out a quick testimony. This week 2 days ago - in a very rushed situation I was able to set-up Declude Anti-Virus with our existing McAfee NetShield and also Declude JunkMail filter very quickly. So far it has caught about 50-100 infected e-mails trying to pass through our mail server, and blocked at least a few hundred Spam mails. We host about 70 domain e-mail accounts on the machine for various clients, as well as our stuff. Not all Spam caught 100%, but only 2-4 Spams a day is a whole lot better than the usual 20-40 we were receiving! I am one happy camper and looking forward to tweaking the products some more when I can free up some time. Right now I am pretty much just studying and analyzing the log files Declude creates so I can determine my next steps. I shopped around and the products are very fairly priced. I am also going to most likely set-up the IMGate in the near future. I strongly recommend Declude, especially based on the great support I received you will get your monies worth.

The IMail filters do exactly what they claim to, but some people find it easier to have someone else do the work (listing mail servers that are sending spam). You'll find that there's no perfect answer to spam detection. You can also go to http://www.declude.com/spamtrap.htm to get a good idea of why people use Declude. It is constantly updated, and shows the last 20 spams to arrive in our spamtraps, along with which test(s) they failed, if any.
