I've read Len's website on setting up a FreeBSD-based ETRN servers when the current mail server is down.
However, I'd like to build a backup MX server but running on Windows 2000. Can anyone recommend on a solution? Free or shareware is fine. I'd also like to confirm that the purpose of ETRN server is to "collect mail for the downed server", and when the "downed server" gets up, it *immediately* gets back everything from the ETRN ? MUST the operating mailserver have a feature that says "ETRN supported" before I can embark on such a setup? Does IMail and Mailmax have such a feature?
