For a reliable solution you'd be best to go with Postfix. If you aren't comfortable with FreeBSD, you can use RedHat 7.2, and Simon Mudd's RPM for Postfix, then just throw on Len's config files, make a few adjustments, and you're ready to roll. I can help you with the Sendmail uninstall before you setup Postfix.. Len can help you with any other setup issues.
