It turns out that your config file is set up to skip files with the .txt
extension. If you want the extra layer of protection, you can get rid of
any "SKIPEXT" entries in your config file (which list extensions that
Declude should not scan). By default, .TXT files are included along with
.JPG, .GIF, and a couple other file types that can't contain executable
viruses.
