never heard that.  the guy doing internal support wasn't that great.

afaik, all was done in the multiple mailbox setup.  one exchange mailbox 
for internal, one imail box for external.

there were only 25 users doing, not 1000's, and the churn was manageable.

the system worked as they required, they had no need to look at exchange 
log files.

I don't even look at Imail logs anymore, only IMGate logs.

I didn't propose that. while "outside" they can't read their intranet 
mailbox (that's their own policy decision) but they can access their 
external mailbox on imail, AND send mail to external Imail mailboxes of 
their internal people.  Policy blocks them from "collaborating" via 
Exchange while they are outside.
