The problem is that the client's firewall is so restrictive that my boss and
other employee's there cannot access the Exchange server, plus the private
IP segment they use at the client's site is the same schema as what we use
here in-house. My boss absolutely hates the OWA anyway. We looked at
renumbering the ports for the Exchange box but there were far too many to
get involved with. Because of all the restrictions on their firewall we had
put the Exchange server thing on hold for a couple months, until now. We
really need the collaboration tools that Exchange needs but since we already
have IMail up and running (which we've been using for a couple years)
without problem we thought that maybe there's a way to use IMail to handle
the email portion when at the client's and use Exchange for the
collaboration internally.
