Where they discuss procedures and protocols based on class addresses. With any Cisco class you attend, it is all about class A, B and C addressing (fixed blocks of IP ranges). Your comment (in my humble opinion) "the concept of fixed blocks of IP ranges determined by the prefix has fallen by the wayside" is inaccurate.
