I currently have an Imail 6.06 server running on NT 4.0 that really needs an upgrade to the entire system. What I would like to do is upgrade the system to Windows 2000, the latest version of Imail, and a much higher performing system. My question is what is the best way to go about this. My preference would be:
Install new hardware with Win2K, install Imail 6.06, migrate configuration and data from old server to new server, then at a later date upgrade to latest version of Imail when I am confident that everything is running well. You probably need a few more pieces of information. My current config uses an access database for user information. I have alot of virtual hosts, aliases, etc..., which means I have a pretty extensive windows registry as well. If I go to a Win2K platform will I be able to import the NT 4.0 Imail registry directly into the Win2K registry to do the upgrade? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
