OT, and possibly already discussed --

but...

We've got our systems set up as a peer-group and have established a sinlge
ip address to allow relays from. With current settings, open-relay testing
comes away
negative but for one test --- wherein an exclamation point (!) replaces the
@
sign in the RCPT TO: line and the MAIL FROM: line contains
whatever@[system-IP]

All bonafide headers indicate our messages originate from our mx where the
user's mailboxes reside to receive responses, removes, etc, while both soft
and hard bounces are directed there as well by the outbound MTA's.

Obviously, we don't want our mx-system hijacked so as to relay
message-traffic; it's a problem for everyone involved... but for the
spammer(s) who would exploit the above-mentioned problem.

Is there a means of locking this down without necessarily breaking apart our
peer-group and/or interfering with the proper routing of the soft-bounces?
