Getting a new server that'll end up being a mail server - for space and consistency reasons it's going to be a Compaq DL360 - dual 1.4Ghz. Which means that it'll have a single raid controller/ 2 drives (I know the usual advice about multiple channels, multiple drives).
I'll configure it RAID 0 - mirrored drives. We push lots of customized e-mail, don't get much incoming. Question - is it worth the money to get 15K drives over the 10K drives?
