I did a 'dig lacofd.org mx' on the DNS server and at first it timed out.
Done a few minutes later it worked fine. MX records look just as they do
at DNSStuff.com.

nslookup of magic.co.la.ca.us = 159.83.181.41 (as performed at iMail
server)

Nope, hosts is empty.

I'm not sure what you mean by "obsoleted". I'm not using any DNS servers
from my ISP. But my iMail server is only pointed to two DNS servers,
both on my local network, and I checked both.
