Mark - This is currently happening to me as well. I have not been able to figure out why.
I have to reboot my server about every 3 days to clear out the problem. I have opened many tickets with IPSWITCH, and followed all of their recomendations but none of them have worked. First I was told it was a DNS issue (not so) Then I was told that it could be a hung message in the que (not so) Then I was told I had to upgrade to 7.13 (I did - problem still exists) Would love to find a solution to this. It looks like every outgoing connection to any IP on port 25 is blocked (even to localhost 25). I've tried using telnet to connect to a remote machine as well as localhost on port 25 and in both occasions I get an error message saying that the remove machine "actively refused the connection". After the server is rebooted, it all works again. The first time this happened was a little over a week ago. I rebooted and it started working again, so I figured it was just a fluke. It happened again last night, however, so it's starting to concern me. Has anyone ever seen this before? know how to fix it?
