I just updated my Imail machine (after it died) and built a new Athlon XP 1700 machine. Everything worked fine with the old machine:
AMD K6 2 600 256mb RAM Windows 2000 AS (all patches and upgrades) Imail v6.06 (all patches) Dual NIC Intel Pro 100/s The new machine has the same amount of RAM and the same NIC's. After building the new machine it will run fine while NOT connected to the network, just running. After connecting it to the network it will completely lock up after about 5 hours. I did go in and shut off some extras in the BIOS and it went for about a week then locked up. I have read about the problems Ipswitch talked about with Intel NIC's, could this be the problem.
