That's a certainly a common symptom not related to firewalls.
Leave the firewall on, just turn off its SMTP proxy. Do you have evidence other, than sales brochures, that its port 25 "features" do anything negative or positive for you?its really annoying problem, does Imail server has any relation to this problem?? . I don't think its firewall issue, because firewall setup is not changed.
