use gateway, and list deliveries will be fast and regular   :)
not always true, as I have seen with some IMGate customers. Imail list sending gets so screwed up, it can't send mail as normal speeds neither to Internet nor to a gateway like IMGate.

Really, when there are a lot of messages in the queue it is better to not have Imail do all the DNS lookups, deliveries and retries.
very true, but even offloading all that work to IMGate, Imail list sending can still be flaky, leaving the gateway sitting there doing nothing, while Imail has 1000's of outbound msgs stuck in the queue. no error messages anywhere.
