The 'old junk' is the latest Outlook Express 6, Eudora 5, Bat 1.61,
and Pegasus... No upgrades are possible.
The restarting of SMTP does not fix anything. Maybe the 'bug' of
hanging is pronounced on a much faster server...??? SMTP AUTH is
virtually unusable here. I get the same results even if I unload the
firewall completely. Not sure at all what to do next. I have reviewed
all my SMTP settings against the Ipswitch Knowledgebase and see
nothing out of the ordinary.
