When I shutdown ol2000 and restart it the LDAP queries work fine for a
while...I say a while because it may work for the rest of the day or the
week...it is never consistant...

do you mean that it get responses from LDAP for a while?

What usually happens is, you update IE / OE and it installs an incompatible
version of wldap32.dll in c:\windows\system.  After that everytime Outlook
2000 does an LDAP lookup it dies.  If you restore an older version of
wldap32.dll it works fine.
