When not using the proper URL you will get a log-on failure. Let's say
your
OHN is mail.domain.com with a host alias of domain.com. You get to the
machine via www.domain.com which is not in the IMail setup. This URL is
appended to the end of the userid if nothing is added by the user. Hence
the
logon failure with just userid and not with user@FQHN
