Sean, There are multiple discussions in the archive for this list available on Ipswitches Website at http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
However, the one that spawned a lot of discussion was this one http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg62330.html Dev had found a problem with the Gigabit Intel NICs on the Dell servers. I had had the same problem with any Gigabit NIC I tried using in my Dell server. I took Dev's lead and installed the 3COM and it fixed my problem. Our problems were different from what you are talking about, but it may help to eliminate the possibility. I don;t know if this has been mentioned, but when the processor hangs at 100% for the time that it does, do you use the task monitor to see which processes are taking the threads, memory? You can modify the Task Manager to show more coumns than it does to get a better idea of what is running rampid.
