I think we can probably rule out a problem with Imail software, as there are many 
1000s of
installations that are not having a problem.

There are a few possibilities I can think of if indeed your server is set to "Relay 
for Addresses":

1. You made the change from an unsecure setting to Relay for Addresses and then didn't 
restart the
SMTP service. If this is the case, the old setting stayed in effect until you 
rebooted. If this is
what happened, you *should* be ok now.

2. You have addresses listed to relay for that you shouldn't. If you list a range of 
addresses where
spammers lurk, you will be relayed through.

3. You have clients or users who are spammers at IPs listed in your Relay for 
Addresses list.

4. There is an insecure backup MX server at an IP address listed in your Relay for 
Addresses list.
Mail is sent through the backup server which then sends it through your Imail server.
