In searching the archives here is was Scott said on the subject:   ------------- The "idle timeout" should mean that the TCP/IP connection was broken somehow without officially ending (for example, if I connect to your mailserver, then pull the power plug on my computer, the TCP/IP connection will stay open until it times out, since my computer can't send a "closing the TCP/IP connection" message).   So my guess here is that the connection timed out. Not even sure the problem is on my side or theirs but of course I am blaming them until proved wrong :)   Could some one point me in the right direction here?   Heimir
