John, Another thing is, if they provided and maintain the router, they don't want you touching it, for any reason. But, they should have 24hr NOC and techs available, the business hours thing is a weird limitation, what if the circuit goes down at 2am? Will they say you need to wait for the next business day to get it fixed? If so, find a new provider, Savvis is good, and Russ suggested AT&T or Sprint.

It kinda depends on the circuit type. It's possible that the encapsulation is differant, and therefore, the config on the router would need to be changed. Also, a lot of times, the new circuit will use new Point to Point IP's on the serial interfaces. Which would also be a config change. I'm suprised that they'll only do this during business hours. We have circuits with both Sprint and ATT, and anytime something at all happens, they are willing to do it when ever I want to!! Maybe a chit-chat with a manager will help?? -Russ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
