I have talked to 3 different people, none have gone out of their way to be
helpful.


I can't fathom a NSP not understanding 24/7 uptime. Oh well.. guess you just have to work with what you have. But like others have suggested, a seperate router for the new circuit is by far the best way to go. Get the new router setup, and then when it comes time to move, the switch-over can occur with relatively little packet loss, and usually no noticeable outage.
