I forgot to mention, if they are providing the router, see if they will put a new one in your NOC, transfer service and collect the old one when it all works. This can be done at any time of day.
But how would that affect IP addresses that I am assigned?
They should be able to cut-over the routing of your IP block(s) to the new connection on command. That is, if they're willing to/know what they're doing.
