Len, Also, we use cold fusion to generate the mail and write emails into spool - the server does become loaded when trying to write these emails into the spool at that point - am trying pinpoint whether its Imail or other applications which causes this slowdown in sending of emails. Does anyone use CF or any other webscripting to generate mail and Imail to send out - anyone know of problems with using this combination?

It should go out in 20 minutes max. I've seen Imail6 or 7 list server hit 30K msgs/hour, the whole list went out in under 2 hours, (but then the next list send it took 30 hours for the same list). >....Any pointers on why this might be happening You aren't running Imail8's with its improved queue management. your list 4% or 5% or more bad addresses, or you're WAN bandwidth is limited, or your Imail server is severely overloaded, or, etc, etc. Len _____________________________________________________________________ http://MenAndMice.com/DNS-training: Seattle; Chicago; San Jose; Wash DC IMGate.MEIway.com: anti-spam gateway, effective on 1000's of sites, free To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/ To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
